Synopsis
A journey through The Impenetrable Forest in the province of Chaco, Argentina. Exploring the peculiar traditions of its inhabitants, this ethnographic film reveals the peoples’ relationship with nature and the conflict caused by the agricultural expansion of this socioÂecological system. Gran Chaco shows the beauty and wealth of an ecoregion (hitherto unknown) shared by Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil, composed of ancestral lands owned by a variety of indigenous peoples.
