Jair Cabrera was born in Iztapalapa, a borough to the east of Mexico City. High crime rates, unemployment and deficiencies in education are some of the problems its inhabitants face. While a lot of his friends join criminal gangs, Jair comes by the only cultural center of his neighborhood: FARO de Oriente (Arts and Trades Factory East).
