The Sound of Waves tells the story of Elida, a warm and enthusiastic girl who likes playing the violin and hanging out with her friends on the streets and beaches of Acapulco, Guerrero. Known as Candy Surfer by her friends, she explores the waves to go surfing against her mothers wishes, who considers surfing too dangerous.
